Many hospital blood clots that could result in death or disability can be prevented¹ – it’s easy. If you or a loved one are in hospital, make sure you ask the ward doctor or nurse to carry out a simple risk assessment, as recommended by the Government.^1,9 A risk assessment is a list of questions you will be asked that will determine whether or not you are high risk of developing a blood clot while in hospital, so that, if you are, something can be done to prevent it.
